THEME INTRODUCTION:

Liberation represents the liberation of bondage, slave represents the people of today, and the two are combined to express that people today lose themselves under the capitalist system and only care about interests and wealth. At this moment, most people have become a A social slave who has lost his soul has only been working hard all his life but his social status remains the same. Therefore, in this series, fashion is used to express the injustice of the lower class under the capitalist system, and the rich and poor are reflected through luxurious elements and poor tailoring.

"Slaves" existed in human society as early as thousands of years ago. With the rise of human rights awareness, they were gradually eliminated. However, there are still people living in slavery today. Such "modern slaves" include: forced free labor to pay debts , child labor, beggars, forced marriage of women, social slaves, etc., the victims are often forced to labor under the threat of violence and social oppression. The word slave has a history of thousands of years, and it is becoming my main inspiration for this series. I have searched a lot about the definitions and distinctions between old-time and modern low-class clothing and poverty and luxury, to re-interpret the low-class at that time. Class clothing, adding luxurious elements to express fashion can also reflect social problems.

DESIGN INSPIRATION

My inspiration In this series, I will 6 kinds of characters representing poverty from ancient times to the present to make 6 sets of outfits in the series, including worker, child, youth worker, working women, beggar, farmer to express this theme , by searching the history and the clothes of these people to re-enact the word poverty, in which the different elements of them are put into the details of the fashion, expressing the commonalities between them, the tattered details evolve into the shape of the Tailoring, stains have evolved into beaded details, and the traces of repairing clothes have evolved into individual patterns. These details that represent poverty are reinterpreted from an aesthetic point of view, and evolved into different luxury details. In this series, there will be no seasons and men and women to determine the works, because I want to express that the word "slave" has no divisions by season or gender, and can even span a century.

These six characters that symbolize poverty made me understand the sadness of capitalism. Among them, workers will be defined by society as Blue-collar workers, and the occupational stratification will make contemporary people feel that Blue-collar workers are inferior, and businessmen They will even exploit their basic rights. In many places, Blue-collar workers will be treated unfairly by Chicken Out, but they are the foundation of a society. Without them, many things cannot be accomplished. Children and working women are related symbols of poverty. The main reason for children's poor quality of life is their parents, because they cannot choose and cannot work. Some poor children even have to live in landfills. To take care of young children, you can only find short-term and low-paying jobs to support living expenses, and women's jobs are mostly part-time jobs, so their income is more unstable, resulting in poor quality of life for children, even when they are young Died due to poor quality of life. youth A worker can also refer to a child who has grown up and has to enter social work early because the family income cannot meet the living needs, but for young people with little experience, they can only use part-time or labor work to maintain family living expenses, coupled with the capitalist system It is ordered that the poor cannot pay their children to go to school, thus making the poor generation after generation, because in the system of society, knowledge represents everything, but the poor who cannot pay the school fees can only work in the labor force. Beggar refers to some people who have lost their ability to live. Those who have lost their ability to live because of congenital or acquired accidents have been cruelly treated by the society, so that they have to beg to support their lives, and they can only rely on the masses for those who are difficult to find work. A small amount of money to survive, and although they often have to relocate to live on the street, they are often driven away by government agents. The other is the farmer who builds the foundation for the society like workers but is treated unfairly. Farmers use their own labor to produce food for people, but they are oppressed by businessmen. They buy crops at low cost and sell them at high prices, which makes farmers' rights exploited , and the unstable climate is more likely to damage the income of farmers, so that farmers have always been at the lowest level of society. These 6 types of people are recognized by society as the lower class, but they are all oppressed by capitalism and cannot resist, so I want to tell everyone through fashion that these are not the lower class, because many people are silently paying to let us A source of food and clothing.
